Reflecting on work for my forthcoming exhibition at Green Gallery this autumn, I see how far I have come on my artist’s journey and realise that this body of work will represent only a fragment of that journey.

For many years I've worked to gallery deadlines and this is usually necessary, as artistic creation must be tempered with professionalism. Images and information are required in advance of an exhibition opening, for which organisation and planning can take many weeks, even months.

To talk about the importance of being fearless as an artist, I’d like to first go back to a time when I apparently had no fear as a human being. I was barely two years old.
